do you ever look back at old pictures of yourself, and wonder what made you smile like that? i mean, i can smile. even when life is rough, there are plenty of things to smile about. and i do! but why did it seem so much brighter back then? sure, things have changed, but it hasn’t all been bad? i want that smile back. i want to smile like i mean it. i want a smile that doesn’t have to fool anyone, or even myself. i want to smile because in that moment, i am living my life for me. i want to look back and know exactly what put that smile on my face. ya know? i can’t force a smile if it doesn’t have meaning. i don’t wanna smile cause i heard something funny. i want the smile that says “i’m happy with where i’m at, and i don’t want this moment to end..”
